Questions
ChrononLabs uses one unified model across gaming platforms. At the moment, the primary focus is Garry's Mod servers.
ChrononLabs is built to work with most Garry's Mod game modes. Its analytics and detection mechanisms apply across them.
Inference runs on our infrastructure, so it costs your servers nothing. You forward the events your server already produces, and nothing extra runs on your server.
ChrononLabs uses AI models together with dashboard settings (sensitivity, thresholds, weapon blacklists) to keep false positives low. If you suspect a false positive, you can share the detailed reports and logs from the dashboard with support for investigation.
The plugin is fully server-side and has no client-side components. All detection and monitoring happens on the server or in our cloud infrastructure, and clients need no modifications.
Yes, the server-side code is unobfuscated and DRM-free, so you can tailor the anti-cheat to your server's needs.
ChrononLabs sends Discord notifications through its dedicated bot. After you set up and configure notifications, alerts for detections and system events arrive in your Discord channels.
Yes, ChrononLabs is sold on a subscription basis, which covers access to the web dashboard, development of new detection methods, feature updates, and support. Discounts are available for users managing multiple servers (bulk purchases). The pricing page lists current rates and bulk pricing.
Data handling
ChrononLabs protects the privacy and security of your information. Detection data, player analytics, and related information needed for the anti-cheat's operation and the web dashboard are processed and stored on secure servers, currently hosted in Germany.
Our data handling practices include:
- Necessary identifiers. We store essential public identifiers (like Steam IDs) to maintain records of infractions and enforce bans.
- Security and session data. For customer security during website login and registration, we temporarily collect IP addresses, user-agents, and essential cookies, which are deleted automatically after a week of inactivity.
- Gameplay telemetry. We process behavioral, input, movement, combat, and related gameplay telemetry for detection, evidence, security, and service improvement. It may remain linked to a Steam ID, session, server, detection, or ban record. Player IP addresses are not retained in player profiles or new stored detection objects.
- Data retention. Detection profiles, infraction history, and replay evidence may be kept to support player appeals where an operator enables the opt-in appeal feature, and to let authorized operators review historical infractions over time. A limited active-ban record may be retained for the duration of the ban, and the default ban duration is 25 years. That figure is the default ban expiry. Retention periods vary across the other data categories.
- Limited recipients. Data is available to the relevant server operator and may be processed by infrastructure, security, communications, and support providers. Ban information may also be checked or shared across protected servers when the operator enables network or global ban features.
Server operators must publish an accessible notice and show a short in-game notice prominently when players join. Anti-cheat processing continues while a player remains connected to a protected server. Players who do not agree to the described processing should not connect, or should disconnect immediately. See the player data notice template.
